As per the most recent schedule update: Qatar Airways will keep flights suspended to the following destinations:
- Abuja–Kano (Kano service remains suspended)
- Djibouti–Mogadishu
- Gassim
- Hamburg
- İstanbul Sabiha Gökçen
- Malta
- Neom Bay
- Sofia
- Taif
- Tabuk
- Venice
- Yanbu
It has been scheduled to resume the services of some of these routes, starting from late March 2027. The airline also emphasized that the schedule is subject to future change in accordance with the prevailing operating and market environments.
Part of a Wider Network Adjustment
The ongoing suspension is specifically part of Qatar Airways’ extensive effort to optimize its network after months of operational challenges caused by regional airspace disruptions and the changing dynamics of passenger demand. The airline has been steadily rebuilding its schedule, prioritizing routes with higher demand and operational stability.
Nonetheless, Qatar Airways will continue to operate to more than 160 destinations worldwide, with increased frequencies on many of the most heavily trafficked international routes this travel season.
Overall Flight Capacity Reduced
Based on industry schedule data, Qatar Airways has reduced the number of departures planned during the winter season from Doha by around 7% relative to the schedules it has published previously. The change was made after the airline worked through its aircraft availability, operational, and passenger demand considerations across its network.
Many of the suspended destinations have already been removed from previously published schedules, while others are still being considered for a potential return in the future.
Passengers Advised to Check Their Bookings
Travelers with bookings on such enroute segments are advised to verify their booking details on the Qatar Airways web site or mobile application. The airline confirmed that customers with confirmed bookings on affected flights will be contacted directly and notified of the available rebooking and refund options in accordance with the travel policies in effect.
Passengers are encouraged to keep their contact details up to date to ensure that they receive the schedule notifications without any delays.
Safety and Operational Planning Remain Priorities
Flying with Qatar Airways may involve changes in flight schedules as a result of unforeseen operational, regulatory, or safety-related circumstances beyond the carrier’s control. Qatar Airways Flash is committed to ensuring reliable operations and wants to ensure passengers’ safety and minimize disruption to flight schedules whenever possible.
The airline has already reinstated many of the services disrupted earlier this year, although a few routes are still affected by operational situations that may have contributed to their delay.
